While visiting family in my home state of Virginia, I had the opportunity to photograph one of my dearest childhood friends, Katie, and her family.  I'm pretty sure I got a complete work out during this shoot.  Katie has some extremely active children and most of the shoot was spent chasing them around the playground while they did what kids do best.  Katie has an autistic daughter. She helped us keep everything lighthearted and interesting.  I am so glad that I was able to capture her in one of her favorite environments, doing what she loves best, swinging.  I really enjoyed getting to know Katie's family and I'm so grateful that I was able to capture them, as they really are, while also getting beautiful shots of their personalities.
